Second time i stay there for over a week each time. Needless to say i won 't be looking for another hotel in Bayswater: clean room, fantastic shower, nice kitchenette to save money on food, friendly staff, laundry room in the basement which is a BIG PLUS for me, prime location with either buses or tube stations within 10 mn walk etc....... Price is acceptable London standards. I do agree about one inconvenience = no lift so it's a nice cardio workout on first and last day when these bags have to be carried up all the way!

very nice, clean room on the first floor with a balcony - great value for money, indeed. friendly staff and I'll definitely come again.

Small single was in need of refurbishment. Microwave did not work, front of kitchen drawer was falling off. Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke.

Redeeming features: good power shower, very pleasant public lounge area.

I stayed in a small single, it was fine for what it was. It was small but perfect for what I wanted and very good value. I wouldn't have wanted to take heavy luggage up the stairs or stay in the room with all my worldly goods, but I didn't have to. Being able to cook in the room is a big plus for me.

well decorated and equipped rooms (usually) but the small rooms are too small and at the top of many stairs. no lifts at all.

Stayed in a small single for a week of a three week trip. Top floor, lots of luggage, got my cardio on the first and last days there. Staff was great. Room was immaculate. Great location. Cyber caf & tube 5 minutes away. For the money and location, it was a deal.

We really got a good deal here! We paid 80 pounds through this site instead of the 120 pounds that we would have paid if we booked directly through them.
Being from Canada, we did not know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised! We had a "balcony" our front and having the kitchenette saved us a lot of money. The bed was comfortable and we were really impressed with the little extras that they provided (coffee, tea, apples, cereal bars in the morning).
We really liked the location as the tube station was only a 10 min. walk away and there were 100's of restaurants within walking distance as well. The Big Bus tour bus was only about 10 min. walk away as well. It was really convenient.
I read the comment about having to walk up the stairs, but from our experience in England, that should not come as a surprise. The last thing I would call this hotel is 'apalling', but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Overall, a great experience and we would stay there again!
Thanks!!!

Rooms are very clean and well appointed, excellent showers and well equipped kitchenette. Very good value compared to other hotels that offer a great deal less for a lot more, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. For those away on business who are fed up of eating out alone this is an ideal solution, home comforts away from home!

Apalling indeed. Found it on the internet. Don't be decieved by the posted pictures. I was on transit I had a heavy suitcase, there were no elevators, no porters - nothing!! I had to drag that heavy case to the top floor. When I began to ask too many questions bordering on an unsatisfied customer, the manageress came up with excuses and finally got outright angry. I checkout the following day and moved to another hotel. For the a little over 80 pounds I paid, I realised later that I could have been in a much better place with more professional staff and better rooms than that cell I was put in. I will never return to this one. Yak!!!

stayed in single room for 3 nights
recently... strange configuration with
shower right at the entry of the room
with toilet and sink in small room of its own next to it, and then the main room. Room very clean... good location... great deal at 55 pounds... although, stayed on 3rd floor and those stairs were quite a climb (i don't recall there being an elevator), but i'm young and able, so it was fine :) would stay again in the future, but
would consider moreso for a longer term
stay, since it is appointed with nice
kitchenette, dishes, silverware, cups,
refrigerator, etc...
